A day or two after haircuts can be razor burn and/or ingrown hairs. Ouch! A little aloe on the skin can help reduce this on some Cresties, others don't react well to it at all. So test just a little if you want to try that out.
We don't use collars on our Cresties because of the irritation. We use harnesses, but never leave them on for more than a few hours. Pila is right--wash the collar well!
