Renovations to our home to create the new Doggy Hilton.
We have a very large room (20 ft by 15 feet) in the back of our house that has always been a playroom for my kids and a storeroom for us and a friend. Born had a GREAT idea recently. Instead of spending thousands on building an add-on room to the house for the dogs and all their stuff, we could renovate the playroom! We began the process in March of 2009. This page is to show our progress as we build a better playspace for my wonderful kids AND a really cool private area for my beloved Cresties. I give you..... the Doggy Hilton!

The Room
The Yard
The area we've chosen for the new dog yard. It's a secluded, private secion of our 3 acre wooded lot. Just beyond the trees in the background is a beautiful wild stream that borders my property on that side and in the far back, providing the relaxing sound of running water and nature.

I hired Dave Hunt, a dear freind of mine, to build us a simple dog ramp and to install a through-wall dog door. He decided to make it fancy as a surprise for us. We LOVE it, Dave! And the dogs are totally thrilled with it! It's even got gripper material on it so it doesn't get slippery in the rain or ice, and it helps keep little paws clean before they come inside!
